Winter Wine & Unwind - Sunday 7/8/11
Join us at the Barton Ballroom at The Brasseyon Sunday 7/8/11 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, for an afternoon of food, wine and pampering, and browsing a delightful selection of stall holders wares.
Now in its third year, the Winter Wine & Unwind once again promises an afternoon of escapism from our dreary Canberra winter. The Barton Ballroom at The Brassey is the perfect backdrop to sample delightful wine and produce from our local region and treat yourself to the free pampering activities on offer. Our exhibitors will also be selling and/or taking orders for their products on the day.
Fabulous raffle prizes will be on offer and guests who purchase a raffle ticket will be treated to a complimentary cup of mulled wine!
This event is not just for the ladies, gentlemen are more than welcome?

The Coins for Karinya project will commenced on 1 July and will run for a four month period to 31 October. We encourage our supporters to contact us to register for the project and then save their loose change in a money box, shoe box, biscuit tin (wherever you like!) for the duration of the project. At the conclusion of the project we will arrange for a staff member or volunteer to collect the coins from your home or workplace, deposit them to Karinya's bank account on your behalf and issue a tax deductible receipt. A gourmet food hamper will be awarded to the supporter who collects the largest amount of Coins for Karinya.
Last year the project raised in excess of $600 for Karinya and with your support we hope to better this figure in 2011.

Tiny's Green Shed is contracted by the ACT Government to offer the public an alternative to depositing their unwanted items to landfill. Anyone with goods that are reuseable and have commercial value can drop them off at Tiny's Green Shed at The Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre in Symonston, Canberra, ACT.
Tiny's Green Shed (TGS) hold a Charity Day on the last Wednesday of each month. On these days, 100% of all proceeds from sales are collected until a total of $10,000 is reache. TGS then donate the entire amount to their current chosen charity and begin collecting anew for the next Charity on their list.
